I probably did! They are good books, sometimes outstanding in places, there’s just a lot of stuff that doesn’t make sense re: worldbuilding, development of so-called key characters etc. I got real excited about them about a year back but tbh I barely remember any of what happens because I read them too fast. Looking back I can see that I probably didn’t notice a lot of these issues during my intense quest to finish the series and find out what happened. It’s only when other people have pointed them out that I’ve been like… oh yeah.
And thanks so much! <3
thanks so much! I’m heaps excited but I hope I don’t set my heart on it too much because um, the offer is pretty high. It means a lot to get this message though :3
You guys! St Andrew’s finally decided to give me an offer after I don’t even know how many months! This means that I’m going to go to Scotland and visit it and ooh I’m so excited it’s in the middle of nowhere (no really some far flung corner of the earth that is literally the furthest from home I could be provided I stayed in Britain) but the middle of nowhere in Scotland and it’s by the sea and it’s very old and apparently you can wear these wee little red robes if you want and a girl I know who goes there, she lives at the top of a tower (?!!!)
idk it seems like everyone and their dog applied to this course because of kate and wills and the offer is AAA? so clearly a very competitive course. But even just knowing that I get to go and visit is enough for me to be honest.
